Rachel McCaffery
Founder
Sustainable tourism expert, Rachel McCaffery has extensive experience in developing sustainability strategy for well known brands such as Virgin Holidays, Virgin Atlantic, Bales Worldwide and STA Travel. She was heavily involved in the creation and development of widely used industry tools such as the Travelife scheme, the ABTA Global Guidelines on Animal Welfare and ABTA’s Guidelines for Responsible Volunteering.
She has managed eco tourism projects in Tanzania, Uganda and The Bahamas and worked on numerous tourism development projects, from the creation of the European Tourism Indicator System for the EU, to the Community Fish Sanctuaries Partnership Initiative - a DFID funded project to boost resilience in coastal communities.
She has a Masters Degree in International Tourism Policy and is qualified to Foundation level in Project Management for Sustainable Development.
